Game design for a final course project
As part of my final project for ATLAS Design Methods, I was part of a team of three to develop a product for a fictional company. We selected Ellumination, a brand positioning itself as a pioneer of eco-friendly engines.
I was responsible for designing and developing an interactive game, as well as creating all visual assets and writing the game’s code.
My Role
Game Designer
Problem & Solution
Sustainability is a complex topic that can be difficult to communicate effectively. Ellumination needed a playful, engaging way to educate audiences about alternative energy sources and promote their brand mission.
Our team revamped Ellumination’s branding and developed:
A new logo, color palette, and typography system
A playable game that introduces users to the concept of electric-powered transportation in a fun, approachable way
My Role
Designed all in-game assets (vehicles, backgrounds, UI)
Coded the game in Unity using C#
Collaborated with teammates to ensure visual cohesion with our brand guidelines
Game Design and Assets
Below are different examples of game assets. The player controls an electric powered vehicle, with the backdrop of the game taking place in a city setting. The environment colors have an orange-aligned color scheme to keep in line with Ellumination’s brand colors.
